Many individuals are now deeply conscious of environmental issues and are buying used goods so as to decrease waste and carbon footprints. For example, if an individual purchases a gently used model instead of purchasing a new smartphone, it cuts down on electronic waste and new raw materials requirements. In addition, buying old items may often be more affordable than purchasing brand-new ones, particularly for expensive items, such as electronics, furniture, or automobiles, thereby increasing disposable income.
