Health club use in Miami and Florida in 2017
Sample Answer:
The illustrations give the number of full-time male and female health-centre members in Miami and Florida throughout the year 2017 and outline the ratio of these members based on their gender and age. Overall, more male were active health centre members than that of females and just over half of them were between 21 to 45 years old.
As the bar chart implies, 500 females were active members of different fitness clubs in Florida and Miami in January 2017 while their male counterparts were slightly higher in number. The membership count to these gyms and health centres remained almost the same till April but afterwards increased rapidly between June and September. During this period, fitness centres in these two areas had more than 800 active male participants and slightly over 700 female members. The number of male health club members had always been higher than that of females. From October until the end of the year, these clubs retained a fewer number of members and this number varied from 500 to 700.
According to the pie charts, more than half of the male members of these fitness clubs were between 21 to 45 years old while this was exactly 50% for women. Over 65 years old men accounted for one-quarter participants while it was 6% higher in the case of females. Remaining one-fifth fitness club members were from different other age groups.
Generally speaking, from June till September of the given year, the number of health club users was at its peak, while in the 1st quarter, it was the lowest. Also, young people used the centre more than people of other age groups.
A specific analysis reveals that, during the 1st quarter, the participation in this health centre was not that much when comparing it with the 2nd quarter. From May, it started to rise with the number of men and women of 700 and just fewer than 600 respectively. During that time, the participation of senior citizens stood at 25 per cent for males and 31 per cent for females.
Furthermore, from October, it started to drop with the participation of men standing at somewhere 700 and for females at approximately 650. From there until December, it was 600 for men and 500 plus for women, Also, the age group wise, 50 per cent female and 55 per cent male were there.
As can be seen in the graph, in January, the number of female attendees was at a minimum - 500 members only. Then it showed an increment in the attendance of women in the following months. The maximum number of female users was more than 700, was reported in September, and then it reduced to a number close to 500 by December.
A similar trend can be observed in the use case of the gyms by the male members. Overall, the number of male members who used these facilities was always higher than the number of female users. In January 2017 more than 500 men used the club's facilities, and it increased to a maximum of 850 users by June despite the slight drop in February. Then the attendance of males remained over 800 for another four months and then dropped during the last three months to 600 by the end of 2017.
By looking at the pie charts, it can be noticed that majority of members were between 21 to 45 - both for men and women members. It is interesting to notice that more elderly women (31% to be precise) visited the health clubs than men of the same age group, as for men, it was just 25%. Other age groups of both men and women used the facility at simialr proportions.
